Brewery: Asahi Shuzo Niigata

Asahi Shuzo (朝日酒造は) is one of the oldest nihon-shu breweries in Niigata, Japan. Founded in 1830, under the original name of Asahiyama, the brewery has been operating under the tradename of ‘Kubota-ya’ (久保田屋) since, and is one of the representative hallmarks of the prefecture.

Based in the city of Nagaoka, the city is located in the yukiguni (雪国) belt of Japan, famed for its pristine waters and its famed rice farming techniques. Asahi Shuzo has always placed emphasis on the quality of Sake rice, selecting the best during every harvest season.

Sake: Roku No Eshu

The Roku No Eshu Junmai Daiginjyo is a carefully concocted sake for a merry night of light drinking. Experimented by Asahi Shuzo to a perfect 13% ABV, the Roku No Eshu is a full-bodied and citrus-y sake with a light aroma, perfect to start off a fine evening.
